Rebel is a tribute to stumbling into the next phase of life with something intact. I’ve done a lot of stumbling and beating myself up for it. I still do. I spent a long time overvaluing independence and have grown to know how much I love and need people. In a way, this song helps me remember breakthroughs on days I feel like I’m barely getting through. It reminds me to do new things and find comfort in being uncomfortable.
