The song's narrator is, for a while, engrossed in "novelty magazines." When those won't do, they hop on a bike and head for the toll roads. The sun is setting, and the whole scene has a pink glow. Featuring friends including Jake Xerxes Fussell (guitar and backup vocals), Libby Rodenbough (fiddle and vocals), and Matthew O’Connell (drums and percussion), “The Click” is a sweet and salty ride that starts at a cafe and ends in 90s cyberspace.
