"Touching the Oven at Work," by Owen FitzGerald Out Today

We’re thrilled to release single #2 from Owen’s upcoming full length, A deep clean you can count on! , today.

Touching the Oven at Work is an exercise in detachedly observing your own existential pain. You run down the checklist of bodily functions and daily minutiae and everything comes back operational - so why the fuck do you feel like a rigid, week old corpse?  Yet again, Owen succeeds in treading an elusive line - writing  a song full of gut-grinding anguish without asking the listener (or the subject) to pity him.

In Owen’s own words:

Have you ever been so sad that the game started to play itself? Did your routines still hum along even though “self” had evaporated? This song will be a real treat if you’re like me.

Stay tuned for more releases from Owen FitzGerald this year and next. Full release notes and credits here.
