This album has become a staple in my listening and my life. I’ve been going back to the finished version of these songs almost daily for months now. And I mastered this record, which, in case you don’t know, means I’ve taken a more critical and technical dive into every minute of this music than most folks will. After all of that, it still hits deep.

Some days it’s the incisive songwriting. For a lot of us, love is the most complex, amorphous, ecstatic, and devastating state of being we’ll ever experience. This record beautifully mirrors that truth.

Some days it’s the roomy, delicate sound of the guitars and horns, the perfect companion to light rain at twilight in Spring.

Some days my ear just leans into every hook and every melody and I’m stuck singing these tunes ‘til I go to sleep.
