Lou Hazel Releases Claude the Armadillo
Please make welcome our new, yet not so new, artist - Lou Hazel. This is the project of formerly eponymous singer-songwriter Chris Frisina, whose EP, Carolina (Out of My Mind), we released in 2020.
Along with Lou, we’d like to introduce you to Claude - the sage and enigmatic armadillo who’s been finding his way into Lou’s life every now and then since anyone can remember. Sometimes Claude shows up to help keep Lou’s head on straight, or to drop some wisdom that can only be had in his particular, Xenarthric way. Other times, Claude’s just hoping to kick back and share a doob with a friend. Truth is, though, no one’s seen Claude in quite some time. Lou and the Sleepy Cat crew are keeping a lookout, but if you see him first, be sure to let us know. And of course, we’ll do the same.
In the meantime, enjoy Lou’s first single and video - an astute criticism of mankind’s penchant for destruction, as told by the ever-wise Claude. This tune was written in the thick of the Cold War by his uncle Ralph Frisina, and the accompanying animated video was made by Alex Derwick.
